Falling In love again at the Jersey shore with Regency Club
As the end of summer approaches, the Jersey punk scene is buzzing with anticipation for the release of the Local Summer Compilation Album, set to drop on September 3rd. This collection promises to be a staple in your seasonal playlist, featuring a range of local artists who perfectly capture the essence of summer.
Among the featured artists is Regency Club, the retro-pop project of Asbury Park-based singer/songwriter Kyle Macor. Kyle's debut LP, “Moth Music,” was released earlier this year and is available now on all streaming platforms. Regency Club's inclusion in the compilation is sure to add a refreshing, nostalgic vibe to the mix.
Kyle Macor shares his excitement about the project:
"My summer soundtracks tend to lean towards pop-punk and power pop. It’s been 10 years since Joyce Manor's 'Never Hungover Again' came out. That was a real perfect time and place record for me, and I fell HARD for it. The whole record is a masterpiece. Uptempo, a little manic, infectious, and succinct. Proper summer energy. To me, 'Falling In Love Again' evokes a summer night at a party back at home on break from school. Days that never cool off. Picking back up on old connections. I wanted to take a bit of our own energy to the song to see where it would land."
"Falling in Love Again" by Joyce Manor is a standout track that captures a complex emotional landscape, exploring themes of uncertainty, self-reflection, and the exhilarating yet haunting experience of falling in love. The lyrics dive into the conflicting feelings one may have when entering a new relationship, navigating the delicate balance between vulnerability and self-preservation. Kyle's interpretation of this song is something fans are eagerly awaiting, promising to bring a new layer of energy and emotion to an already beloved track.

Jersey Shore Riot Grrrls: girlbossanova
We’re thrilled to announce that Girlbossanova, the Monmouth County NJ-based riot grrrl band, is making waves with their feminist flair and grunge-inspired sound. Their latest project? A powerful cover of Bratmobile’s “Gimme Brains,” set to feature on Shore Points Records' “Local Summer Cover Compilation Album,” launching September 3rd—just in time for the local summer kickoff at the Jersey Shore.
We asked the band why they chose Bratmobile’s “Gimme Brains”. Here’s their response:
“Our choice to cover Bratmobile’s “Gimme Brains” stems from its vibrant surf-rock vibe and its rich feminist undertones. Since the inception of Girlbossanova, we’ve drawn immense inspiration from the sounds and ideologies of the riot grrrl movement. The track’s upbeat, playful instrumentals belie a deeper layer of incisive lyrics that resonate with every female musician who’s ever been underestimated or sidelined."
The Riot Grrrl Legacy
Bratmobile, a seminal band from the Pacific Northwest, emerged during the 90s riot grrrl movement—a transformative era in punk rock and feminist activism. Alongside bands like Bikini Kill and Sleater-Kinney, Bratmobile didn’t just make music; they forged a space for women to voice their truths and challenge societal norms. Their contribution went beyond grunge; they created a platform for feminist expression that continues to influence and inspire.
Incorporating the grunge essence of Hole, Bikini Kill, and Nirvana, Girlbossanova’s sound echoes the melancholic melodies, stripped-down drums, and guitar distortions that defined the 90s era. Their take on “Gimme Brains” is not just a cover; it’s a homage to the pioneering spirit of the riot grrrl movement, blended with a fresh, local twist.
Join the Revolution
As we gear up for the release of the “Local Summer Cover Compilation Album,” we invite you to dive into this revival of riot grrrl energy. Let Bratmobile’s anthem—and Girlbossanova’s reinterpretation—reignite your passion and remind you of the power of feminist rock. Turn up the volume, dance, and embrace the unstoppable spirit of women in music.

In the upcoming years, our commitment remains steadfast: to create and share music that authentically reflects our essence and values. As we navigate the ongoing journey of personal growth inherent in the human experience, we anticipate our evolution to be mirrored in our musical expression. What sets us apart as a band is our profound friendship, which precedes our musical collaboration. This bond fosters an environment where creativity flourishes, allowing us to explore a diverse range of themes. Consequently, our songs span the spectrum from escapism to confronting real-life issues head-on, with many, like "Just Like Yesterday," striking a balance between the two extremes—a fitting encapsulation of our collective musical identity.
Furthermore, we're committed to curating engaging and thrilling events for our audience. We're excited to announce the inaugural ZaStock, an original music festival slated for May 18th at the historic Sawmill in Seaside. Joining us are fellow artists Blaise and Via Crowe, both contributors to the recent "Winter Rental" compilation album. ZaStock marks the beginning of what we hope will become an annual tradition.
As for our creative inspiration, time serves as a recurring motif in our songwriting, reflecting our perpetual quest for self-improvement within the confines of mortality. Much of our introspection stems from the acknowledgment that personal growth is a gradual process, often characterized by uncharted paths and unforeseen challenges.
Our songwriting process typically involves three main approaches. Sometimes, a band member brings in a fragment of an idea, which we collectively refine into a cohesive piece. Other times, inspiration strikes spontaneously during a jam session. And then there are those rare instances where profound discussions on the nature of existence yield songs seemingly bestowed upon us by higher powers—though frustratingly, these divine creations often slip from our memory once the conversation concludes.

Doc Emmett: Matt & the evolution.
In the ever-changing landscape of the music industry, artists often find themselves navigating through various roles and responsibilities before discovering their true calling. For Doc Emmett, a journey that began with managing several touring bands has transformed into a deeply personal exploration of creative expression and musical independence.
Balancing schedules, personal life, and work commitments became increasingly challenging as Doc Emmett and his bandmates grew older. Many found it difficult to sustain the level of dedication required for an original act, leading Doc to reevaluate his approach to music. It was then that he made the conscious decision to shift his focus towards writing and playing, while embracing the simple joy of creating music.
Devoting himself to honing his craft, Doc delved into home recording and delved deeper into the realm of music theory. These endeavors injected new life into his playing and songwriting, allowing him to explore sonic landscapes and lyrical themes with newfound depth and clarity.
Despite having primarily served as a lead guitarist in previous bands, Doc saw his solo project as an opportunity to break free from conventional roles and expectations. With Doc Emmett, he aimed to experiment and convey his thoughts both sonically and lyrically, blending catchy melodies with the raw, unpolished edge of authentic expression.
The result? A sound that is distinctly Doc Emmett—a fusion of infectious hooks, captivating melodies, and the raw energy of a guitar on the verge of exploding. It's a sonic journey that captures the essence of musical experimentation and creative liberation.
In the past few years, Doc Emmett has released an EP and a series of singles, each serving as a testament to his evolving musical identity. Looking ahead, he plans to continue his musical journey, with aspirations of releasing additional EPs and possibly even a full-length album.
But Doc Emmett's evolution doesn't stop there. In the past year, he has ventured into live performances, eager to share his music with audiences in a tangible and visceral way. With the support of talented musicians and friends stepping in when needed, Doc is committed to maintaining the momentum of his live shows while continuing to create and share his music with those who connect with it.
Doc Emmett's journey is a reminder that true artistic fulfillment often lies in the pursuit of creative authenticity and personal expression. As he continues to carve his own path in the music industry, one thing remains clear: Doc Emmett is not just a musician—he's a storyteller, an innovator, and an artist unbound by convention. And his journey is far from over.

Favorite show you've attended: We've all been to so many shows that we've loved both separately and together but one of the most memorable ones we attended as a group was at The Stone Pony in November of 2021. We were seeing Parquet Courts and were first in line. It was fucking freezing and we got there way too early but we had a blast.
Dream lineup: LMFAO & Death Grips
Q+A
How did Hot Dress come together as a band?
"In high school Jason and Caleb were in one band and Max and I were in another. We were rivals and we were not fond of each other. Towards the end of my senior year, both of our bands broke up and Jason and I shared some mutual friends so I asked if he wanted to Frankenstein our old bands and jam sometime. We have been playing together (somewhat) happily ever since." - Andrew
What is "Last Week" about?
"I wrote it at a time when I was feeling very disconnected from myself mentally, it’s basically just a hodgepodge of all my anxious thoughts about the future and growing up." - Jason
What does your songwriting process look like?
It really depends on the song. Sometimes one of us has an idea for something and we just run with it on our own, writing most of the song's parts. Other times someone has chords and vocals and we just build from there at practice.
What does the future of Hot Dress look like?
The future of Hot Dress looks like more shows, more music, and more good times.
As a band, what are some things you stand for? (This can be around our political climate, human rights, etc)
As a band, we strive to actively contribute to causes we believe in within our communities. This includes participating in events such as the strike for fair wages at Rutgers and donating proceeds from our shows to various charities. We believe in human rights and equality in any capacity. Using the platform we have is important and although our lyrics aren't directly political we still aim to support others around us with the platform we have.
random numbers shapes and colors coming together in harmony….
In the heart of the oceanfront urban landscape of Asbury Park, New Jersey, Dentist, a dynamic indie pop trio, recently found themselves facing an exciting challenge. We invited them to contribute to our upcoming compilation, but there was a catch – they had no new songs ready. Undeterred, Dentist embarked on a spontaneous journey that led to the creation of a fresh track, demonstrating the band's ability to fuse the freedom of the beach atmosphere with the urgency of the city.
Taking to Instagram, Dentist shared the story behind their newest creation. When Shore Points Records approached them, the band eagerly accepted the invitation, even though their creative well was temporarily dry. With just a couple of days before the recording session, Dentist delved into voice memos and old demos, only to find themselves empty-handed. In a bold move, they decided to craft a song from scratch, and the result was nothing short of remarkable. Despite the spontaneous nature of the process, Dentist expressed immense satisfaction with the outcome and hoped their fans would enjoy the surprise addition.
Dentist provided a glimpse into their typical songwriting process, emphasizing collaboration. Emily and Justin Bornemann, the driving force behind the band, initiate the creative journey by laying down an initial idea – often a melody accompanied by a riff or chord progression. This raw material is then brought to the rehearsal space, where the entire band collaborates to transform it into a fully realized song. This collaborative spirit has been key to Dentist's distinctive sound and resonates throughout their discography.
With their eyes set on the future, Dentist revealed their next goal: assembling a new batch of songs for either an EP or a full-length album slated for release in 2024 or 2025. In addition, there's talk of re-releasing their debut album, which hit the airwaves in 2014, on vinyl as part of its 10-year anniversary celebration. While Dentist remains hopeful for a year filled with touring, specific goals in that regard are yet to be finalized.
Originating from the vibrant music scene of Asbury Park, Dentist's sound blends the laid-back freedom of the beach atmosphere with the pulsating urgency of the city. Emily Bornemann's ethereal vocals intertwine seamlessly with the sometimes aggressive, always addictive sounds of Justin Bornemann on guitar and Matt Hockenjos on drums. Their unique fusion results in a fuzzed-out, surf punk-tinged brand of indie pop, adorned with hooks and infectious melodies that captivate audiences.
Dentist's latest venture into spontaneity for the Shore Points Records “Winter Rental” compilation showcases their adaptability and commitment to delivering fresh, engaging music. As they continue to evolve, Dentist remains a band to watch, offering fans a sonic journey that captures the essence of their coastal roots and urban influences. With promises of new releases and the prospect of revisiting their debut album, Dentist is set to make waves in the indie music scene throughout 2024 and beyond.

Q + A : Learn all about Blaise!
Q: How did you get into making music?
A: I was born an entertainer and a pop star, and though my journey took me first through acting and musicals, improv and fashion, when I realized in 2010 that I didn’t want to live my life not doing what I was sent here to do, and that it was beneficial to my craft beyond belief to have been a student of all of those things, I went alllllll in and haven’t looked back!
Q: What is "Still A Fool" about?
A: Still A Fool is a sonic sequel to a song off of my second album Velvet Noir called I’m a fool. In that song I speak about how no matter the bad, the fights, the missconnects that happen between me (or you) and the person the song is directed towards, you can’t help but be there and love them unconditionally. Still a fool is speaking from a stance of strength in that notion. Where I know I’m too good for this, I know I deserve better, but my heart is ride or die and I wanna see this through.
Q: What would you say to the younger version of yourself as the person you are now?
BABES! What you dream of you become! Dream louder and harder. What you create you become so never ever stop. And get those vocal lessons now baby! Refine and polish that diamond TODAY!
Q: What does the future of Blaise look like?
A: More music more visuals more shows more movies! I’m a lifer. I believe the only way you fail is to stop. I know I am a force of nature and that I deserve the world, and I will have it. With my vision, the support of my incredible band, I know that we will take over the world!
Did you know that there is a music video for “Still A Fool”?!
Check out the amazing visual picture of how Blaise & Kris Kunachuk brought this song even more to life here: Youtube!
Q: Being such an important figure in our local LGBTQ+ community, what would you say to young queer artists starting to create and express themselves freely?
A: My community means everything to me. I try through every single thing I do through my art and my LIFE to show my community, and everyone, even those who don’t consider themselves part of it, that through unabashedly being true to yourself and what you believe and feel, you are FREE. I would want those queer artists to know it won’t be easy but it will be worth it. When you compromise your vision and your heart you lose your light, and EVERYONE get lost in the dark. Stand behind your message. Stand behind your vision. Meet other queer creatives and work TOGETHER. Create a HAUS. Build each other UP. Also study anything and everything that inspires you. You don’t need a lot of money to create the you that you want to be! Finally, never limit what you can be with thoughts of failure. As I said earlier in this interview, the ONLY way to fail is to stop. Love y’all!

Welcoming to the world: The Slow circuit
The Slow Circuit is a solo project by Victoria Benesch. Victoria is a singer, songwriter, and independent recording artist from Asbury Park, New Jersey. “Weather Patterns (winter version)” by The Slow Circuit will be featured on the upcoming compilation album, “Winter Rental.”

All about the lady behind The Slow Circuit
Q: How did you get into music?
A: I grew up listening to music in the car with my dad. He used to play songs by a lot of bands with female lead singers and I wanted to be like them. My parents put me in piano lessons at school when I was 6 and voice lessons at Music University in Freehold when I was 10. I started singing in cover bands with my friends and playing some original songs with my dad and his former bandmates shortly after.
Q: Where does your sound come from?
A: All my songs start out as ballads with just piano and vocals and they emerge into full arrangements later in the recording process. I write all my songs alone in my room. I write down the lyrics and chords in my notes app and take a quick voice memo to remember what it sounds like. That sound pretty much comes from listening to alternative artists from a young age. I don’t have any specific influences that come to mind. For The Slow Circuit songs, I really owe everything to Eric Bennett for helping me find my sound.
Q: Why do you make music?
A: I make music because it is my favorite thing to do in the world. It’s a big part of who I am.
Q: What made you want to add “Weather Patterns” to the “Winter Rental?”
A: This song will be The Slow Circuit’s first release ever, so I felt some pressure to choose a song that would leave a good first impression of my music. When choosing a song, I was in between two songs that were kind of upbeat. I’ve probably listened to my demos hundreds of times, and sometimes feel like I have no concept of what they even sound like anymore (lol), so I had some people at Lakehouse vote for which one they liked.
Q: What does the future for The Slow Circuit look like?
A: I’m in the process of recording an EP that will hopefully be released this year. I think a different version of “Weather Patterns” and around four other songs will be on it. I’m currently a senior in college in Philadelphia and come home to record at Lakehouse when I can. I will always continue to make music and I’ll probably start playing live again in some local gigs eventually.

Hailing from Eatontown, NJ, Have a Good Season emerges as a dynamic power trio that seamlessly blends the raw energy of 90’s college rock, the infectious hooks of vintage power pop, and the emotional depth of midwest emo.
The band's signature sound is a result of the rhythmic interplay between Daniel Stattner on bass and Dan Sakumoto on drums, creating a foundation that intricately pushes and pulls, leaving ample space for Nic Palermo's guitar and vocals to weave a tapestry of rich, open chords and melodic lead playing.

Favorite non-musical hobby
R- reading tarot and playing the Sims
E- solitaire…
Favorite tv show
R- Soooo many. Right now, The OA and Twin Peaks
E- Avatar The Last Airbender 4ever! But also Twin Peaks tho…
Favorite movie
R- Harold and Maude
E- LOTR Trilogy, but if I had to pick one it would probably be Fellowship. Tough choice. Return of the King is so epic, but there’s so much nostalgia and good vibes attached to Fellowship that I have to stan.
Favorite concert you've been to
R- Florence & The Machine
E- I saw Death Cab in Atlantic City in 2011, right before Chris Walla left the band. Such a cerebral sort of show, everyone was just standing there and vibing. 10/10 experience.
More about shinything
What made you both realize as a couple that creating music together is what you wanted to do?
R- I would say it happened pretty organically. I was shifting from writing poetry to writing music, and Evo was naturally the first person I would show my melody ideas to. The first time they wrote a guitar line for one of my songs, everything clicked into place, and I was like- "woah. this is music!" And it just became something we did together.
E- I’ve imagined making music with my romantic partner since I was in high school. I’ve always known Raven to be an artist. He is an exceptional visual artist, as well as an award-winning poet! But after a while of dating, he expressed the desire to write songs, which got me very excited. He wrote a song acapella and sent it to me. I was floored with how clever and catchy his songwriting was from the very start. No prior songwriting experience, he writes a banger called “Substanced”—a word he cleverly invented—with our first band Yellowbird (still on streaming btw). All of the sudden my relationship goal has been fulfilled, and it’s been cooler and cooler ever since!
How do you both build each other up when it comes to your creativity and creative process?
R- I try to make space for both of our approaches, which can sometimes be difficult when we have different opinions. Evo is very, very good at engineering, mixing, arranging, the list goes on - but they are also very hard on themself. Sometimes I find us being too precious with things and I have to shift us both back into a space of having fun and not worrying too much about making a "perfect" thing. I also really believe in our sound, so honestly, it all ends up being good in my eyes.
E- Raven is a very prolific songwriter, regardless of the times he doesn’t believe that to be so. I remind him during times of less frequent writing that he has a big back catalogue of knock-out songs just waiting to be put on record. Raven really is a genius wordsmith and melody-maker, and I’m really looking forward to people hearing that greatness very soon!
What is in store for shinything in the future?
R- I want to focus deeply on recording this year. We have an album's worth of songs to share, and I think it's time to be mindful of how we want to express them and give them to the world. So keep an eye out for future releases, and hopefully we will have an album to show for it by 2025!
E- I definitely concur with Raven’s statement. I make a living making records, but producing shinything songs are on a-whole-nother level for me. I spend much of my production time making our music sound authentic and unique to who we are and what we believe. It’s our essence in song form, both together and individually. We got much to show the world, and it will be shown in due time with our fullest efforts possible!
As members of the LGTBTQ+ community, how do you express gender identity in your art?
R- There's definitely space for us to write about gender as a topic, but lately I've just felt like it's enough for both of us to show up as a queer and gender nonconforming couple and do our thing. I'm not very concerned with doing things based on societal expectations, and I want that to bleed through everything in a natural way. I think it's something people notice in me, and I'm sure it can be seen in the music too. Showing up and being seen is a big part of the work.
E- I feel like I can’t help but make music and art that’s reflective of my identity and gender expression. The best labels I could use to describe myself would be nonbinary or agender. But what does it mean to make “nonbinary” music? It’s quite an abstract concept. I’m not often writing lyrics that talk plainly about my gender identity. Most times the music I make is just instrumental. Regardless, gender identity is a vehicle to consciousness. So perhaps I don’t have to be verbally explicit in my music about my expression, but the core of my being comes out anyways.

Q+A w/ Polaroid Fade
What is Polaroid Fade’s origin story?
A 15 YEAR OLD NICOLETTA STARTED WRITING AND RECORDING SOME SONGS DURING COVID WITH HER DAD AND SOME OF THOSE SONGS BECAME EARLY POLAROID FADE SONGS. TWO YEARS LATER TYLER AND NICOLETTA STARTED ARRANGING THEM FOR A LIVE SET AND FOUR PIECE BAND. WE WERE LUCKY ENOUGH TO FIND GRACE AND RJ TO COMPLETE THE BAND ON BASS AND DRUMS. IT'S BEEN A FAMILY EVER SINCE!
Who does most of the songwriting?
NICOLETTA
What does a typical band practice look like for you guys?
AT PRACTICE WE FIND OURSELVES LAUGHING MORE THAN ACTUALLY PLAYING. WE NEED TO WORK ON THAT RATIO.
What made you want to add “Worry About Me Later” to the “Winter Rental”?
WORRY ABOUT ME LATER WAS ONE OF THOSE SONGS THAT WAS WRITTEN AND THROWN INTO THE SET REALLY QUICKLY. WE CHOSE IT FOR THE WINTER RENTAL COMPILATION BECAUSE IT'S BRAND NEW AND STILL OUR FAVORITE... UNTIL WE WRITE SOMETHING NEW!
What is Polaroid Fade’s plan for the future?
WE JUST WANT TO MAKE MUSIC THAT WE LOVE TO PLAY. WE HOPE THAT WE CAN CONTINUE TO GROW OUR AUDIENCE. THE SKY IS THE LIMIT!

Scxtty is glowing up in a big way with us here at SPR! In honor of the new Compilation Album, “Winter Rental”, coming out on February 2nd, 2024, we will be releasing Scxtty’s new single titled “GUTCHECK”.
Pun intended when we say that this song will quite literally feel like a punch in the gut to all the people who fxcked you over. This is pop punk at it’s absolute finest.
In the realm of music, the true essence lies in the ability to connect with the audience, to evoke shared emotions, and to create a sense of community. For Scxtty, this connection serves as both inspiration and motivation in his musical journey.
In a recent conversation, Scxtty expressed that what truly inspires him musically is the profound connection he shares with his audience. Being able to relate to people who experience the same joys and pains as he does is not just empowering but also deeply comforting. This connection is the driving force behind his lyrical writing, where he aims not only to express himself but also to extend a helping hand to others, creating a shared experience through his music.
Scxtty's musical journey began at a remarkably young age, shaped by a childhood filled with singing since the tender age of 4. The turning point arrived at 14 when he embraced the bass guitar, adding a new dimension to his musical expression. From that moment on, attending concerts and witnessing other bands perform live became a catalyst for his creativity, propelling him towards reaching his goals in the music industry.
Currently, Scxtty finds inspiration in a diverse range of artists, each contributing to his evolving musical palette. Hazlett, MICO, Mt.Joy, Chris James, 44Phantom, and Pale Waves stand out as his current favorites, showcasing his eclectic taste and appreciation for a variety of musical genres.
Beyond the realm of music, Scxtty has also ventured into the world of modeling, adding another layer to his multifaceted career. His modeling journey took a significant step forward when he walked the runway for New York Fashion Week (NYFW) last September. Since then, he has booked numerous photoshoots and is set to grace the NYFW runway once again this February. The combination of music and modeling reflects Scotty's commitment to artistic expression in all its forms.

With an anticipated completion date in June, Scotty is poised to bring his passion for music into a professional therapeutic setting, making a meaningful impact on others through his musical expertise.
As we follow Scxtty journey, it becomes evident that his story is one of resilience, passion, and a relentless pursuit of artistic expression. Through his music, modeling, and academic endeavors, Scotty is creating a narrative that not only connects with his audience but also inspires others to embrace their passions and reach for their goals.

Q + A with Sara
Q: As someone who spent and spends a lot of time in bands, what made you want to go solo when writing and recording Teen Idle songs?
A: I’m a big lover of collaborating but I also know that if I didn’t have a solo project as an outlet for my ideas and feelings that I would be very frustrated. It takes me like 10 revisions to be happy with a mix, even if it’s for a song I produced for someone else, so I can’t imagine my main band being one where I had to run all my ideas past someone else first. I look at it like being an author. Every author has an editor but it’s still your voice. That’s why Teen Idle is most successful as a solo endeavor. Luckily I have other outlets like playing in Lightheaded and a bunch of other bands where I can really collaborate with friends. I do want to eventually start a band where I force myself to write with other people as a fun little challenge. I ended up recording everything by myself because I honestly just couldn’t afford a studio, but I also wanted to do a little trial by fire and come out of it all as a really good producer.
Q: What made you want to do a stripped down version of “Saccharine”?
A: “Saccharine” is probably the most intricate song on the record when it comes to the sheer amount of tracks on there and the amount of time I thought about the arrangement. So I thought — what would it sound like with all of that taken away? To test if something is a really good song I think you have to play it stripped-back, acoustic. I feel like “Saccharine" passed that test.
Q: What are some artists/bands that have inspired you to write music?
A: Teen Idle started off heavily influenced by shoegaze, because I started the project back in college when I was listening to a lot of Beach House and Slowdive. But as both the project and I mature, I find that I’m more interested in lyrics and telling a story, and not hiding behind a wall of reverb. My record Nonfiction is a good example of that. When writing it I was really influenced by artists like SASAMI, Angel Olsen, Japanese Breakfast, just really great storytellers.
Q: When did you first start writing your own music?
A: I can’t remember whether I was 15 or 16 when I finished my first song, but all I know is it was when I was still a student at Lakehouse. It’s called “What Remains” and I legitimately think it’s one of the best songs I’ve ever written which is pretty funny. I need to make plans to actually record it for real one day.
Q: What does the future for Teen Idle look like?
A: The future is full of possibility! I’ve already achieved a lot of the goals I had for myself when starting this project. But I really just want to go bigger and bolder. I want to record new music, really challenge myself in arranging those songs, hopefully go on a tour soon (it’s a secret but there might be plans for some West Coast dates this summer!), and really just broaden my audience. The long term goal is to keep getting better at my craft, to keep having fun doing it and continuing to be part of a creative community that is supportive and well-intended.
